“Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” –William Morris
My newest works expand beyond artwork to include furniture, home goods, jewelry, clothing and accessories. It is important to me that what I create be useful as well as artful. My work is predominantly made using salvaged high-end materials including papers, ceramics, glass, crystal, marble, fine metals, wood, leather and stone. I enjoy the challenge of keeping my work extremely affordable to make, as well as to purchase. Everything I create is limited quantity, if not one of a kind.
Hidden within the majority of my work are the elements of orgonite. Orgonite is a manufactured substance producing orgone energy, which is an alleged type of ancient energy discovered by Dr. Wilhelm Reich in the 1930s. Although his theories unfortunately never reached documented scientific validity during his own lifetime, extensive studies still prove that the combination of specific natural materials found in orgonite cleanse the environment, with benefits including energy clearing, air and water purification, accelerated plant growth, reduction in EMF pollution caused by common electronics, improved physical health, elevated moods and increased restfulness. By incorporating orgonite into everything I create, I believe it becomes a functional tool for improving the energy of the space it occupies or the person who wears it.
